Retouching and Color Correction
At one time, getting photography into print was a mystical science practiced by a very few dedicated professionals. All of the images were shot by professional photographers with large and medium format cameras on transparency film. Lighting was exquisite and time consuming. It was expensive, but the quality was unsurpassed. These beautiful transparencies were then scanned on drum scanners operated by individuals that understood the entire process from color correction right through to the press room. Color correction and retouching was performed on Scitex workstations costing hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Today, that scenario is the exception not the rule. Budgets are tighter, time is tighter and everyone has access to bits and pieces of imaging technology. We get digital camera files shot from hundred dollar cameras, photos from disposable cameras and images processed in less than an hour at a drug store. Yet, the desire for great looking photography and images in our printed materials has not changed.
We have the professionals on staff to perform color correction and retouching to make your images the best they can be. We can perform complex silhouetting, removal of color casts, image editing and compositing, color changes and image creation.
